In Kenya, there is massive educational inequality leading to greater income inequality. Many children from poor households, some being orphans, are increasingly being excluded from access to education thus perpetuating the chronic cycle of poverty among families. The best way to end this cycle is to give these children a chance to transform their lives through education. We all can help!
By sponsoring a vulnerable child, you give him/her the tools to not only transform his/her life but also transform their families for good.
“You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.”
― John Bunyan
Once you have registered as a sponsor, we will immediately start matching you with a child in need.
As soon as we have matched you, we will send you an e-mail with more information about including child’s name, age, other specific details as well as a picture of your sponsored child.
In addition, you will receive two annual reports on your sponsor child’s development and also have an opportunity to engage in a conversation with the child.
We will start with a guaranteed one-year sponsorship which is renewable based on the sponsor’s situation.
We will endeavour to identify the most needy children and with your support, give them an opportunity to transform their life.
To become a sponsor of a vulnerable child, you contribute EUR 20 per month or EUR 240 per year. This amount provides the child with the tuition fees, two nutritious meals a day, all school supplies, uniform, social work support and extra-curricular activities.
While we hope that you are able to continue to support your sponsored child as long as he or she is in our program, sponsoring a child is voluntary and we understand priorities and circumstances change and you may choose to end your sponsorship commitment at any time. To cancel or change your sponsorship commitment, email us at info@eerui.co.ke
